Günther Kundt is affiliated with the RTC at the „Klinisches Studienzentrum“ (Center of Clinical Studies) where he is responsible for the area “Data management and Statistics”. He has been involved in numerous monocentric and multicentric studies where he took prime resposnibility for the subject of Biostatistics.
After graduating in Mathematics, Günther Kundt focussed on the research field of data mining. In 1984 he completed his Ph.D. with a thesis on cluster analysis methods in data mining. Today, he is particularly interested in methods of randomization in clinial studies. He completed his habilitation degree (German lecturer qualification) in this field, published his methodological results in many scientific papers, and applied these methods in specific clinical studies. He is head of the Biometry research group as well as deputy director at the Institute for Medical Informatics and Biometry at Rostock University. Besides his work in applied clinical research, Günther Kundt also has a long year record as „Consulting Statistician“in many medical research projects involving a broad spectrum of biostatistical methods. Günther Kundt is also member of the ethics commission of Rostock University.

Änne Glass is affiliated with the RTC at the „Klinisches Studienzentrum“ (Center of Clinical Studies). Between 1999 and 2008 she headed the Core Facility „Bioinformatics“ at the University Hospital Rostock. She worked on bioinformatical and statistical problems of genomics and proteomics data analysis. Her particular focus was on the selection and development of suitable methods as well as the efficient application and implementation of these methods for obtaining maximum information from experimental genomic data.
Änne Glass studied Biometry and as consultant for medical scientist and their students in the planning and analysis of experiments and surveys, she has broad experience in the area of applied statistics. She was involved in many interdisciplinary projects involving the participation of several Divisions (e.g. endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology) of the University Hospital Rostock where she took prime responsibility for her field of expertise and published corresponding results in scienitific journals.

Frank Thiesen is affiliated with the RTC at the „Klinisches Studienzentrum“ (Center of Clinical Studies) where he works on data management
After his graduation as „ engineer for microcomputing technology “ he worked as a project engineer at Rostock University where he took responsibility for the organization of data processing in 1989.
In the frame of his work at the Institute for Medical Informatics and Biometry Frank Thiesen is responsible for both hard- and software used in the institute where he also works as a programmer.
He was involved in many previous clinical studies where he interacted intensely with medical scientist and bio-statisticians in processing and analysis of data. He managed and designed corresponding data bases and made sure that software-interfaces were suitably designed including issues of data security.
